1. Weaving is a method of fabric production in which two distinct sets of yarns or threads are interlaced at right angles to form a fabric or cloth. The other methods are knitting, lace making, felting, and braiding or plaiting. The longitudinal threads are called the warp and the lateral threads are the weft or filling.
lately, i've been surrounded by yarns. i kept going back to the crafting shop and roamed around the yarns' shelves. can't get enough of having those lovely colors.. and can't stop thinking to create patterns from the yarns.

when i went back to jakarta, i forced yos to drive me to mayestik market and specially googled "where to buy wool yarn in mayestik"! and there i was, at Toko maju, one big-but-narrow shop selling everything (literally) you need for crafting.

.. i never know that weaving can be so much addictive..

ps #1:
now that, i am so into weaving, i almost leave the knitting which was not even half way finished. i feel the guilt to my unborn baby, that i haven't finished the blanket which is supposed to be the first blanket i will be using to wrap her.

ps #2:
where to buy the weaving kit?
i bought mine (small weaving kit) from @made.by.n / living loving. the teak wooden weaving kits are actually handmade by local craftsmen in yogyakarta.
